No-Sew Sweater to Cardigan Tutorial

Here is another No-Sew way to recycle your old clothes.
This project is inexpensive and will only take you 15 minutes to do!
For this tutorial, we will take old shirts and sweaters and turn them into cardigans!
You can never have too many cardigans in my opinion!

Let's Begin!

What You Will Need:
Old Shirt or Sweater
Some sweaters will fall apart when you cut them. Use a sweater that's lightweight)

Heat and Bond
It can be found at any craft or fabric store. Use regular or super strength

Iron
Scissors
Hard surface to iron

Start by laying your sweater flat:

Now take your scissors and cut up the middle:

Like so:

Lay your sweater on a hard surface that you can iron on:

Lay one of the sides of your sweater face down.
Now we are going to clean up the raw edge with the heat and bond.

Lay a strip of Heat and Bond down a 1/2" from the edge of your sweater:

Fold the sweater over the Heat and Bond tape and iron it.
Please read the Heat and Bond instructions before using it.

Your sweater should look similar to this.
I would iron the Heat and Bond on in sections.
It is hard to do an entire side at once.

Do this all the way down your sweater.
It should look something like this when you are finished.
Now, do this to the other side.

Bonus: If you want an even cleaner look, fold the sweater's edge over and heat and bond it again.

If you have ends that look like this snip off the edge that is sticking out:

YOU'RE FINISHED!!

ENJOY!
